Junior Choreographers

Daniel Arsenault

Daniel has been figure skating for the last 8 years and has fallen in love with the freedom and joy he feels on the ice.  Showtime on Ice has influenced his skating career heavily, giving him a love for performance and the show side of the sport as well as some of his favorite memories. He intends to pursue a career in professional shows such as Disney on Ice later this year. The oldest of 9 skating siblings, he loves his family very much, thanks them for all the fun and support over the years, and thanks God for giving him the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful sport. Daniel enjoys getting to know and work with every one of the skaters in the production and wishes you all good luck and a ton of fun this year and in the future – keep this wonderful tradition alive and help it thrive!

Emily Fredericksen

Emily is 17 years old and this is her 11th performance with Showtime On Ice. She loves to perform on the ice and help inspire younger generations to love the sport, too. Emily is extremely grateful for the many opportunities the club has offered her for her commitment and accomplishments.

Janie Ochitwa

I am currently a senior in high school and this is my last year performing in Showtime on Ice. This show means the world to me and has motivated me to pursue a career in professional shows. I have made so many memories and it has always been so fun portraying different personalities on the ice. Some of my favorite past roles have been Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka and Rapunzel in Tangled. I have always loved skating with amazing guest skaters like Max Aaron, Polina Edmunds, and Ryan Bradley. Showtime on Ice has been a driving force in my skating and I will miss performing with my friends when I am gone. I wish all of the skaters the best in shows to come and I hope everyone continues to create magic on the ice!

Nicole Schonebaum

Nicole is 15 years old and this is her seventh year performing with Showtime on Ice. She loves skating and working with young skaters that have so much love for the sport. Showtime on Ice is her favorite time of the year because she gets to experience the excitement of performing with other skaters and portraying a character. She loves to be a part of such a great skating community that offers her so many opportunities. She hopes to grow stronger as a skater and continue to skate in more Showtime on Ice shows.

Ana Valdez

Ana is 15 years old and a freshman at Valor Christian High School. This is her ninth year performing in Showtime on Ice. She was an “unofficial” Junior Choreographer last year, helping the Denver Synchronicity Beginner Team with their scenes. In addition to working on her individual skating, Ana is also a member of the Denver Synchronicity Intermediate skating team. “I really love the opportunities I have with skating, such as – working on my own skating goals and programs, skating with my synchro team, performing in Showtime, participating in club activities like serving on the DFSC Board in the past, helping with events, and lots more.” Ana loves working with kids. She is looking forward to volunteering with Special Olympics and possibly teaching Learn to Skate in the future.
