SAFESPORTWe are grateful for the fantastic parents that volunteer their time every year to make our show a great success. It takes many hands to ensure our kids and community have a safe and memorable experience. We need your help to fill our rink with eligible, compliant volunteers!

SafeSport and background checks for volunteers– United States Figure Skating has strict SafeSport protocol. We are asking that our volunteer dressing rooms parents complete the SafeSport training (free for USFS members and $20 for non-members) and complete a quick, online background check ($30). Both are good for one year (SafeSport now requires a quick refresher course each year).

Having these completed will help you year-round, at any USFS sanctioned competition or event that you wish to volunteer. Compliant volunteers are very much needed! Both the certification and the background check can be completed easily from your computer and are available right from your USFS Member site.

Click HERE for more information on how to complete your SafeSport training and background checks.

  • BUYING TICKETS – FAQ’s
    • If my child is a skater in the show, do I need to buy a ticket? – Yes. We are a full scale production and all seats require a ticket. We are also a non-profit and the majority of our revenue comes from our ticket sales so please spread the word!
    • If I am volunteering in the dressing room for the first half, do I need a ticket to watch the second half?  – In the past, we have allowed our dressing room volunteers to take a seat in General Admission for the second half. We still allow this but our shows have been selling out so we recommend to plan accordingly.
    • If I am not buying a ticket to a performance, do I just drop off my skater? – All skaters will need to be checked in by a parent or guardian prior to showtime. If your skater is only in the first half, they must be checked out by a parent or guardian at Intermission.
    • Can I refund or exchange tickets? – Tickets are not refundable but we are happy to exchange them.

SKATER PROGRAM ADS – Each skater receives a 52 page, full-color program with their registration fee. The program will have all of our cast members, guest skater photos and information, Director/Choreographer info and more. We also offer an opportunity for parents to place special ads for their skater.

  • AD TYPES – Color and Black and White ads are available (from $20 to $250 we offer something for every budget)
  • TEXT ONLY – You may place a text-only ad
  • PHOTO ADS – All we need is an image (2MB or higher in size) and a write up. We do the rest!
  • WHERE TO BUY AND SUBMIT – Click HERE to place your ad

VOLUNTEERINGThis is probably the most important piece of Showtime on Ice. Aside from our directors and Choreographers, the entire show is powered by volunteers. All of our Committee members and Sub-Committee Leads are also volunteers. It takes a huge village to put this show on and WE NEED YOU to be a part of our amazing team. Weather you are a first time family or a show veteran, we have a spot for everyone.

The most important need we have is dressing room monitors for all shows, including the Thursday night dress rehearsal. The safety of our skaters is top priority and we do need to fill all of the dressing rooms with two – three parents. We will need at least one parent in each room that is SafeSport compliant and background checked. Please read the SafeSport page HERE for more information. We ask that all moms sign up for at least TWO shifts in your child’s dressing room. We also need dads to help out in our boys room.

Other jobs include; poster canvassing, ticket sales, skater check-in, ushers, selling merchandise and more.

If you would like to assist at a more committed volunteer level (costumes, props, program ad sales and more) – click HERE to fill out our parent survey.
