Announcing the forty-eighth annual production of Showtime on Ice, highlighting the event are guest skaters Andrew Torgashev, Ryan Bradley and pairs team, Jessica Calalang and Brian Johnson.

CENTENNIAL, CO (February 20, 2020) – Colorado Skating Club and Denver Figure Skating Club proudly present the annual ice show, Showtime on Ice – a Denver tradition since 1973. This production is a non-profit community event co-produced by the two figure skating clubs. The ice comes to life this spring with scenes/musical highlights from modern, action-packed hits Aladdin, High School Musical, and Mulan. The epic adventure of the fearless Chinese warrior woman, Mulan, has not previously been produced by Showtime on Ice.

The late Peggy DeLio created the show experience to expose figure skaters and their families to Broadway musicals and classics. Although Showtime on Ice has a colorful past featuring many top skaters/rising stars, most of the 150+ performers come from Denver area ice arenas.

National, world, and Olympic competitors have graced the ice each year including Scott Hamilton, Dorothy Hamill, Paul Wylie, Robin Cousins, Kristi Yamaguchi, Rudy Galindo and John Curry. Most recently the show has featured some of the brightest stars in figure skating including Adam Rippon, Gracie Gold, Mirai Nagasu, Max Aaron, Ryan Bradley, Alexa Scimeca/Chris Knierim, Starr Andrews, Alex/Maia Shibutani and Ashley Cain/Timothy LeDuc.

This year’s guest skater lineup is no exception. Returning to the show as guest skater/emcee/audience favorite is 2011 National Champion/2010 Olympian, Ryan Bradley. New talent includes US pair team Jessica Calalang and Brian Johnson. They earned the prestigious silver medal at US Nationals this past January. International competitor, Andrew Torgashev from the Broadmoor Skating Club in Colorado Springs also makes his debut as a guest skater. Andrew is the 2015 US Junior Champion and placed fifth at US Nationals in January in the senior men’s competition.

The annual spring show will culminate with four performances — two evening shows and two matinees, running from April 24-26, 2020. The event is held at South Suburban Ice Arena, 6280 S. Vine Street, Centennial, CO. The public is invited to experience one of the finest regional ice shows in the United States.
